 “Aspects of Grief” presented by Joan Smith Thursday February 23, 2012.

            We all experience loss in our lives at some time or another. To help us understand and to help others at such times, Joan Smith will discuss “Aspects of Grief”, in which she will make an introduction to the subject of grief, looking at some of the choices to be made, and the transforming possibilities of this life experience. Joan has been leading bereavement support groups, pastoral care workshops and retreat days on Prince Edward Island and in Ontario for 17 years. Joan also teaches at Seniors College. Everyone is warmly welcome to attend in the conference room at Spring Park Church, Trafalgar Street entrance.

 “Parenting, The Hardest Job You Will Ever Have” Thursday March 8^th

            Dr. Kathy Bigsby, Pediatrician and Dr. Nadine DeWolfe, Child Psychologist will share their expertise and knowledge and answer all the questions we have as parents and grandparents. This opportunity will be on Thursday, March 8 at 7 pm in the conference Room, Trafalgar Street entrance, Spring Park Church. Friends and neighbours welcome.

WORLD DAY OF PRAYER 2012  Service will be hosted by The Salvation Church, 203 Fitzroy St. Sun. Feb 26^th  at 2:30 PM. This year’s theme   “Let Justice Prevail” was written by the women of Malaysia.  All are encouraged to attend.

 The UCW Valentine Coffee Party was a huge success on Sat. Feb. 11^th.  Many thanks to all who helped in so many ways!!  It was a fun and colourful morning, ticket sales were brisk and the profits were $ 1710. Extra food from the party was delivered to the Soup Kitchen where it was much appreciated. In appreciation Unit 5.

This summer we are looking to host a United Church Vacation Bible School here at Spring Park during the week of July 16^th -20^th   If you would be interested in helping out or if you have a young one to register please speak with Nathan.
