Outreach: Anderson House

Anderson House is grateful for the generosity of Islanders to help with shelter operations and the women and children they serve. Each year, Spring Park United collects donations for Anderson House during the month of February. Suggested items to donate are always listed in our announcements.

Anderson House is a program of PEI Family Violence and Prevention Service and is a provincial emergency shelter for women and children who are in need of safety because of violence in their lives.

Anderson house is well supported in the community during festive times and times of celebration. As a result, we chose February, a time when supplies are low and the shelter is in its greatest need, for our collection. It also coincides with Family Violence Week on PEI. The Spring Park UCW has given long term support to Anderson House, including annual donations of monies and needed supplies.
