White Gift Sunday

White gift Sunday started years ago as a tradition to focus on the giving rather than the receiving. We continue the tradition to give our White Gifts in response to the local need at the senior high school in our community. Staff and students of Colonel Gray High are very appreciative of this Christmas Outreach.

We chose Colonel Gray as there was a need expressed and an invitation extended to make a difference. We could support many initiatives but instead we chose to dive deeper and do more in one specific area in order to make as big and impact change as possible.

Shelly Mann who coordinates this project for the school said it best:

“We provided full turkey dinners for three families and are helping with food for another. Please send along my thanks to the church community. You are such an integral part of the Christmas Giving Campaign. Your generosity allow us to help so many more students and families than we would otherwise be able to. Thank you all.”

In 2021, the Christmas Gift Bags were prepared by Colonel Gray staff and given to 170 students.
